Traffic in Mumbai..Who Bothers Part2.

Somebody by the name of Sunil suggested me to use the Public/Cooperated Transport. Thanks for the advice, Sunil. I could not confirm, who he is?
Anyways, moving on from where I left and picking up the thread from Sunil, I feel that this country is truly a country of sages [or should I say impotent people who just pick up what is given to them] instead of being a country of Warriors who do not take the things lying down but fight for what is right.
Sunil intensd to say to give up the hopes of a better nation and move on whatever is available because that is the easiest thing to do than to fight the system.
Look, what the traffic Havaldars are doing.. standing away from their duty places. It is like this that if I am posted at Prakshgarh Bandra and instead of going to my Office I go to the Bandra Court. Will that be acceptable? If not, then how a Traffic Poilce standing away from his duty place is cosidered a right place of duty. In my opinion, the Traffic Poilce is more interested in collecting the fines than setting the Traffic in Order.
And Media is highlighting their achievements of collection of fines. The Collection at the Octroi should be a matter of concern for such issue. BUT the Traffic Policeshould be responsible for a well managed traffic and NOT for collection of fines.
You may agree with me that on a normal week day a traffic policemen is hardly seen on the roads. But come saturday and sunday and these executives would be seen in 'herds', several of them at one single place and they would be seen catching the persons after they have committed a mistake.
Why can't they take proactive action than to take a reactive action.
So this is my Second Suggestion that Traffic Policeman should be present at his duty point and manage the traffic in a better manner. The First One was to inculcate a sense of discipline on the road through various means like general awareness through Auto/Taxi Unions through hoardings and pamphlets and road shows etc.
